University of Southern Queensland’s Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting is a career-oriented degree designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge for a career as an accountant and prepare you for a professional career.

The accounting profession has expanded to include information systems, insolvency and forensic investigations

You can choose a second major from a range of business fields to shape the career you want. 

A double major in accounting and finance is among the most popular combinations.

 

Finance:

Learn about the financial side of running a business, managing money and how companies create value for their shareholders.

Learn the fundamentals of financial environments and modern analytical techniques and apply your study to various areas of the finance spectrum, learning the ins and outs of business finance, personal financial planning, financial policy, foreign exchange risk, asset selection, stockbroking, investment management, international financial management and financial economics.

Become equipped with the transferable skills of information gathering and critical thinking, allowing you to apply relevant analysis to your chosen industry or speciality.

You can choose a second major from various business and commerce fields to shape the career you want and strengthen your position. 

 

Recognition of prior learning or work experience:

Suppose you have previously studied in your home country.

Language pathway (conditional offer) is available

EAP includes two levels, and each level takes 10 weeks to complete. To start your studies in EAP, you will need an IELTS result of at least 5.0 in the four macro skills or an equivalent recognised international English test.

Students from non-English backgrounds residing in Australia should meet the following entry requirements:

  • Completing senior secondary schooling in the home country or equivalent, Year 12 in an Australian High School, completed 'A' levels or mature age entry.
  • EAP I: IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
  • EAP II: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, postgraduate research and doctorate)
