Graduate Certificate - Advanced Health Care Leadership

The Advanced Health Care Leadership Ontario College Graduate Certificate focuses on leadership development that meets the population’s healthcare needs, manages operations, and finds innovative and practical solutions.

Students at Lambton College will be able to integrate patient and family care theories into current practices, which are responsive to various cultures, behaviors, situations, and environments. 

Core concepts of leadership, quality, and improvements to patient safety are explored to achieve enhanced patient outcomes.

Students will apply professional leadership concepts as members of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team in an organization. 

Students who excel in the program may have an opportunity to compete for a field placement in their final term as an alternative to the WIL Project.

The Lambton Institute of English is operated by Lambton College, a public, not-for-profit Ontario post-secondary institution that provides high-quality academic training in English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

This Board of Governors certificate program is designed for full-time students who need to improve their English language skills for post-secondary study. 

The program is divided into two categories. English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). 

The former focuses on establishing a strong foundation in the four skills of speaking, reading, writing, and listening in levels elementary and intermediate. The latter focuses on using these four skills for academic purposes.

Following the completion of this Board of Governors certificate program, students are eligible for entry into an academic diploma or post-graduate program

Academic background and requirement

  • A university degree in the health care field.

Note: This program is not suitable for students with a dentistry or pharmacy background.

The admissions process is competitive and meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee admission.
