ANU College programs deliver pathways to ANU designed to help you successfully transition to undergraduate or postgraduate study.
Academic English Preparation
Academic English Preparation (AEP) is a 10-week program focused on English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
AEP is designed to equip international students with skills and knowledge needed to live and work in Australia, and to successfully transition to other courses at ANUC.
To enrol in AEP, you must have an IELTS of 5.0 (minimum 4.5 in each band) or an overall TOEFL IBT of 40 with a minimum of 12 in writing.
Once enrolled, you must achieve a score of 60 per cent or more to successfully complete AEP. No additional IELTS is required to progress to Foundation Studies or ANU Access.
ANU Access
ANU Access is a 10-week intensive program with a strong focus on academic English.
To be eligible for ANU Access, you must have an overall IELTS of 6.0 (with no band less than 5.5) or an overall TOEFL IBT of 68 with a minimum of 18 in writing.
A range of other English language tests are also accepted. Once you successfully complete the program you can enter your degree at ANU.
A Bachelor degree or international equivalent.
Up to 24 units of credit is available for a Bachelor degree in a cognate discipline or Graduate Certificate in a cognate discipline.
Up to 48 units of credit is available for an Honours degree in a cognate discipline or Graduate Diploma in a cognate discipline. Credit may also be available for relevant work experience.
Students must complete the pre-sessional component to continue to the initial component.
Students must complete all courses in the initial component and achieve a minimum 50% weighted average mark to continue to the concluding component.
Students who do not complete all courses in the initial component or do not achieve a minimum 50% weighted average mark in the initial component will be transferred to the Graduate Diploma of Public Policy.
