The Monash Bachelor of Global Studies is a unique course tackling the most important challenges that the world’s communities face including: climate change; peace and conflict; the rich-poor gap; and crime and justice.
Global studies is an interdisciplinary field drawing on politics, economics, sociology, history, medicine and science.
You will apply your knowledge and skills to real life scenarios through leadership, culture and globalisation core units; an overseas study component; and a choice of four specialisations: Cultural Competence, Human Rights, International Relations, and International Studies.

With Monash English Bridging, you will learn to develop the English language and academic skills required for pursuing diplomas, undergraduate, graduate and higher degrees of research courses at Monash – without the need to sit for an IELTS test.
Monash English provides a direct pathway to Foundation Year and Monash English Bridging, without the need to sit an IELTS (or equivalent) test
You can enter Monash English at any level.
You will need to sit an approved English language test and achieve a minimum score of IELTS 4. Or, you can complete the Monash English Placement Test and enter without an IELTS score.
If you haven’t met the English requirements for direct entry, you may be eligible for the Monash English Bridging (MEB) program. If you successfully complete MEB, you can join your chosen destination degree.

All Monash undergraduate courses require you to have successfully completed a minimum of an Australian Year 12 qualification (or equivalent).

To be considered on the basis of tertiary study alone, applicants who have completed VCE or equivalent will be required to complete the equivalent of one year (48 credit points) of a recognised university degree and will require an average result of at least 70% (including failed units).
For applicants who have completed less than the equivalent of one year of study, both the senior secondary qualification results and the units completed will be considered.
