You will gain all the benefits of each degree course and be fully equipped to pursue a career in either field separately or to combine the two in your chosen work.
As both degrees are internationally recognised, you will have no problem applying for work abroad.
Depending on your area of specialisation, you may work in the space industry, biotechnology, intellectual property, mining or forensic law to name just some career paths.
There is high demand for legal professionals with expertise in science - and scientists who are qualified in law.

With Monash English Bridging, you will learn to develop the English language and academic skills required for pursuing diplomas, undergraduate, graduate and higher degrees of research courses at Monash – without the need to sit for an IELTS test.
Monash English provides a direct pathway to Foundation Year and Monash English Bridging, without the need to sit an IELTS (or equivalent) test
You can enter Monash English at any level.
You will need to sit an approved English language test and achieve a minimum score of IELTS 4. Or, you can complete the Monash English Placement Test and enter without an IELTS score.
If you haven’t met the English requirements for direct entry, you may be eligible for the Monash English Bridging (MEB) program. If you successfully complete MEB, you can join your chosen destination degree.

All Monash undergraduate courses require you to have successfully completed a minimum of an Australian Year 12 qualification (or equivalent).

Selection requirements:
Bachelor of Science: Studies must have been completed within five years of intended commencement.
If you have not studied science in the past five years, you may still meet the requirements if you can demonstrate that you have engaged with science after your studies;
this could be through work, teaching or volunteering in a capacity where you engaged in science in a meaningful ways.
If you believe you meet the requirements in this way, please provide a CV, letter of support from an employer/supervisor or other form of written proof that can demonstrate how you have engaged with science in the past 5 years
Non- school leavers:
Applicants who have partially completed an undergraduate degree must have completed the equivalent of one year of full time study (a minimum of 48 credit points) and a maximum of two years (96 credit points) of a recognised university degree; and achieved a distinction average or better across all the university units, irrespective of discipline.
It is important to note that achieving a distinction average does not guarantee a successful application.
The distinction average is a minimum entry criteria to be eligible for admission, and the average will then be the basis for ranking candidates. Selection is competitive due to limited places available.
Graduate entry requirements:
Non-law graduates considering a career in the law are only eligible to apply for the Juris Doctor.
The Faculty of Law does not accept single unit enrolments for undergraduate studies, except for cross institutional enrolments or for law graduate returning to complete units in order to practise in Victoria.
If you have a complete or incomplete international bachelor degree, it must be accredited and equivalent to an Australian level where the entry requirement will vary than listed above.
