The Bachelor of Biomedical Science combines aspects of biology and medicine and equips you with the skills and knowledge to tackle today’s most critical issues in healthcare and disease.
In this exciting degree, you’ll join one of the largest and most successful biomedical research hubs in the world.
Biomedical science is an interdisciplinary area of study, where you’ll investigate human health and disease on a deeper level.
You’ll learn how diseases occur, how they affect the body, and how they can be controlled and treated.
This degree covers the key biomedical disciplines of anatomy and developmental biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, pharmacology and physiology, as well as epidemiology and how this informs human health and disease.
The Bachelor of Biomedical Science gives you the flexibility to tailor your studies to fit your interests.
Use your eight electives to gain more detailed knowledge in one of the key biomedical science areas, or broaden your knowledge by studying units from across the University.
You could pick up a language, gain business skills or explore global issues and cultures.

You will also have access to the Professional Development Program and may apply for a short term industry placement through the Work Integrated Learning unit, Biomedical industry based learning.

You can enter Monash English at any level.
You will need to sit an approved English language test and achieve a minimum score of IELTS 4. Or, you can complete the Monash English Placement Test and enter without an IELTS score.
If you haven’t met the English requirements for direct entry, you may be eligible for the Monash English Bridging (MEB) program. If you successfully complete MEB, you can join your chosen destination degree.

This course uses the entire academic record as part of its selection considerations. To be considered on your tertiary results alone you must complete at least one year of full time study (48 credit points) of a recognised university degree with a minimum average mark required is 65%.
These are minimum requirements, admissions to this course is competitive and applicants may need to meet a higher requirement to be offered a place.
For the Scholars program, applicants must have a minimum average of 85%.
If you have a complete or incomplete international bachelor degree, it must be accredited and equivalent to an Australian level where the entry requirement will vary than listed above.
