Creative & Critical Writing:

Develop and refine your ability to write engaging works for a range of audiences and markets. 

At the University of Southern Queensland's Bachelor of Arts (Creative & Critical Writing), you will learn to write creatively and critically and produce compelling, professional narratives in fiction and non-fiction.

You will also experiment with diverse forms, genres, and styles and learn how to conceive, write, edit, and proofread your work to a publishable standard.

 

English Literature:

Foster your imagination by exploring the world of stories and storytelling through English and Australian Literature.

Prepare yourself for the jobs of a changing world by building skills in forming critical arguments, developing cross-cultural understanding, and a clear and expressive writing style.

Examines the great texts and innovative and contemporary works of poetry, prose, drama, film, new media and critical essays.

 

Recognition of prior learning or work experience:

Suppose you have previously studied in your home country. In that case, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses you must study to finish your program.

Language pathway (conditional offer) is available

EAP includes two levels, and each level takes 10 weeks to complete. 

To start your studies in EAP, you will need an IELTS result of at least 5.0 in the four macro skills or an equivalent recognised international English test.

Students from non-English backgrounds residing in Australia should meet the following entry requirements:

  • Completing senior secondary schooling in the home country or equivalent, Year 12 in an Australian High School, completed 'A' levels or mature age entry.
  • EAP I: IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
  • EAP II: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, postgraduate research and doctorate)
