The knowledge and skills you’ll acquire will be first-class to prepare you for a career as an Environmental Engineering Technologist.

This program at the University of Southern Queensland has a strong rural soil and water focus and emphasis on studying specialist topics, including water and wastewater treatment, mine site rehabilitation and sanitation.

You will be equipped to tackle environmental issues head-on in restoring mines and landscapes, water resources and conservation, salinisation, irrigation structures, environmental studies and research.

 

Practical experience

As part of this degree, you will need to complete practical experience, where interactive, hands-on activities, such as experiments and specialist equipment, are undertaken.

All students must be able to meet the physical and other professional requirements of practical experience within this degree.

Language pathway (conditional offer) is available

EAP includes two levels, and each level takes 10 weeks to complete. 

To start your studies in EAP, you will need an IELTS result of at least 5.0 in the four macro skills or an equivalent recognised international English test.

Students from non-English backgrounds residing in Australia should meet the following entry requirements:

  • Completing senior secondary schooling in the home country or equivalent, Year 12 in an Australian High School, completed 'A' levels or mature age entry.
  • EAP I: IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
