Through an in-depth understanding of the marketing field, including the challenges of global forces, new technologies and changing customer demographics, students develop practical skills that contribute to improving organisational performance.
The major at Western Sydney University is based on industry expectations.
Students work on industry-based projects and case studies, equipping them to take on roles across numerous organisations, including in digital marketing, campaign strategies, business and data analytics.
The major marketing shifts the focus from siloed factory-model approach found in specific marketing programs to one that is customer-centric, integrated, immersive and experiential.
In addition, unlike many other marketing majors, this new program embeds digital applications throughout.
This major satisfies the educational requirements for recognition as a Certified Practising Marketer and eligibility for student membership of the Australian Marketing Institute and The Research Society.
Western Sydney University seeks to enhance student learning experiences by enabling students to engage in the culture, expectations and practices of their profession or discipline.
This program includes placement or other community-based unpaid practical experience.
There is a mandatory work component required for the completion of this program.
