The Master of Business Information Systems (MBIS) at Monash University prepares you for careers in systems design, planning and management, as well as knowledge and information management.
You gain the expertise to design solutions to business information problems, and to offer strategic guidance to organisations that will enhance their management and governance.
As an MBIS graduate, you may find work as a business analyst, systems analyst, consultant, project leader, IT manager or information management specialist.
In your final semester, you may take part in an Industry Experience program, working in a small team with industry mentors to develop entrepreneurial IT solutions.
Or you may undertake a minor-thesis research project, investigating cutting-edge problems in BIS under the supervision of internationally recognised researchers.
The course is structured in three part: Part A. Foundations for advanced business information systems, Part B. Core master's study and Part C. Advanced practice.

Monash English course is ideal if you don’t meet the English requirements for Foundation Year and Monash English Bridging.
Monash English provides a direct pathway to Foundation Year and Monash English Bridging, without the need to sit an IELTS (or equivalent) test.
You can enter Monash English at any level. You will need to sit an approved English language test and achieve a minimum score of IELTS 4.
Or, you can complete the Monash English Placement Test and enter without an IELTS score.
