For those passionate about visual arts, drawing, and storytelling, the Bachelor of Animation Production at UTS gives students the knowledge and hands-on experience required to create animation work that communicates clear and powerful ideas.
The Bachelor of Animation Production students learn how to observe the world around them, drawing directly from life to gain inspiration for characters and stories.
They discover how to think creatively and develop ideas through multiple stages, focusing on character development, narrative structure, and engaging performance.
They also learn fundamental 2D, 3D, and hybrid animation skills to bring their stories to life.
Students learn to develop, pitch, and defend ideas and ultimately create original content for film, TV, advertising, and other screen-based media that will engage global audiences.
One of the benefits of studying for a Bachelor of Animation Production is the link to UTS’s existing industry connections, which helps give students a competitive advantage.
Students have the opportunity to work with live projects and active partners, such as ABC Podcasts, VIVID, the Australia Piano Quartet, and other collaborations with international universities at the Annecy MIFA campus etc.
UTS also has long-standing relationships with Sydney's local animation studios, such as Flying Bark Productions, Mighty Nice, Cheeky Little Media, Dave Enterprises, and Animal Logic.

UTS Science offers bridging courses in Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
Bridging courses help prepare you for university studies and learning in the university environment.
Subjects taught in bridging courses do not carry any credit towards your degree but will help you prepare for first-year university subjects.
This may include students enrolling in science courses or other areas of study such as engineering, business, nursing, health, architecture, education, and information technology.
If you don't meet the admission requirements for this course, there may be alternative pathways to help you gain admission.
If you’re an international student looking for a university preparation program, UTS Foundation Studies is designed to help you take your next step into Australian university study.
Students who successfully complete the program will qualify for the first year of most undergraduate degrees at UTS or a UTS College diploma for those who need more preparation.
