Overview

Bachelor of Business

The Bachelor of Business at UTS offers students a sound background in all areas of business through eight common core subjects undertaken in the first year.

It also allows them to study one or more areas of interest via a major or an extended major undertaken from the second year.

Students can choose the following major: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management, Marketing, or Advertising and Marketing Communications.

The choice of a second major includes those listed above and Business Law or Information Technology.

The major provides them with in-depth knowledge of business specialisation.

Students could also undertake sub-majors or electives to complement this specialised knowledge.

The Bachelor of Business provides flexibility for students as they construct a learning journey tailored to their career aspirations.

Students can choose from a range of course structures.

Depending on their selected course structure, they can choose from a wide range of majors, sub-majors, or electives which deepen expertise via business subjects or add breadth via subjects from other faculties and schools.

Students have the option to undertake an internship program as an elective within the business major or as a free elective.

Bridging courses

UTS Science offers bridging courses in Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

Bridging courses help prepare you for university studies and learning in the university environment.

Subjects taught in bridging courses do not carry any credit towards your degree but will help you prepare for first-year university subjects.

This may include students enrolling in science courses or other areas of study such as engineering, business, nursing, health, architecture, education, and information technology.

UTS Foundation Studies

If you don't meet the admission requirements for this course, there may be alternative pathways to help you gain admission.

If you’re an international student looking for a university preparation program, UTS Foundation Studies is designed to help you take your next step into Australian university study.

Students who successfully complete the program will qualify for the first year of most undergraduate degrees at UTS or a UTS College diploma for those who need more preparation.
