If you are unable to provide proof of language proficiency you may still be considered if you meet all other admission requirements. In this case, you’ll complete UVic’s University Admission Preparation (UAP) course.
Your prospective academic unit must be willing to admit you under this condition. You must complete the UAP with a grade of at least 80%.
UAP is a 12-week program offered in January, April and September. It is also offered in an intensive four-week format every summer.
To study in this program, you must have a minimum of one of the following exam scores:
Applicants to a Master's program should have a Major or Honours undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Software Engineering (or equivalent) or a Major or Honours degree in Mathematics with an emphasis on Computer Science.
A minimum of B+ (6.0/9.0) is required for courses taken in the last two years.
