Overview

Bachelor of Science, Major in Chemistry

Develop a strong understanding of the fundamental concepts in analytical, organic, inorganic and physical chemistry.

Emphasis is placed on practical, hands-on experience with modern scientific instrumentation, and students are often involved in research and outreach activities.

Laboratories are available for first-year studies, analytical and physical chemistry, and structural and synthetic chemistry.

BSc students majoring in chemistry must apply to enter a co-op education option in their program at Thompson Rivers University.

Admission to the BSc co-op option is limited. Students will be chosen by a selection committee based on grades, completion of specific courses in the discipline, previous work and volunteer experience and a letter of application.
