The Accounting major – developed in consultation with industry experts – will provide you with the skills and knowledge you’ll need for a successful career as an accountant.

You’ll develop an awareness of contemporary issues in accounting and the skills needed to appraise and devise solutions to complex accounting problems critically.

To apply for an undergraduate program, international students will need to have completed one or more of the following academic qualifications:

• A recognised senior secondary school qualification or university entrance examination, such as the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) or other equivalent Australian or overseas high school qualification
• A recognised university Foundation course
• A recognised 2 or 3-year Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree
• At least one year of a university degree from a recognised institution

Assumed knowledge

• HSC Mathematics Standard 2 or equivalent.

If you don't have the assumed knowledge, you're advised to include a mathematics or quantitative methods elective unit in your first year of study.
