Macquarie’s flexible Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) has a strong focus on practical learning.
Safe drinking water. Clean energy. Reduced emissions. Efficient transport. All things that make the world a safer, more functional place to live.
And all things are the domain of civil engineers, who work to elevate our living standards and quality of life.
With technical and creative skills, civil engineers focus on designing, constructing and maintaining the physical and naturally built environment, including roads, bridges, railways, airport buildings, dams and sewerage systems.
The Civil Engineering specialisation will equip you with the skills you’ll require to expertly design, construct and operate the needed infrastructure of modern civilisation.
You’ll learn how to identify complex problems and determine how to formulate innovative solutions with a focus on sustainability.
And you’ll complete civil engineering-based projects using industry-recognised methods, practices and tools.
