You will develop the skills to manage sports organisations, coordinate sporting competitions and major events, and work in community-based sporting programs.
To thrive in increasingly professionalised sporting organisations, you'll learn how to manage the business side of sport, with specialised training in sports marketing, finance, management and law.
You can also expand your business expertise by completing a complementary business major.

You will take the Placement Test before the start of your course.
If you're currently studying Year 12 or completed Year 12 in the last two years, you will need to meet all the following criteria to be considered for admission to this degree:
Year 12 prerequisite subjects
Complete foundation studies and/or a diploma program at Deakin College or one of Deakin's TAFE partners.
Australian Foundation Program: 65%
Note: Equivalent to an Australian Year 12 certificate.
The Deakin College Foundation Program is equivalent to upper secondary school (Year 12) and university foundation programs.
It aims to prepare you for further study in a Deakin College Diploma or entry into the first year of a selected Deakin University bachelor's degree.
Completing your Diploma of Business at Deakin College will give you direct entrance into the second year of a Deakin University Bachelor's degree in business.
