You'll extend your core investment and financial skills and enhance your ability to provide financial services and advice.

Develop your core financial and investment expertise in the financial trading room. 

You'll learn professional investment tools, such as the Bloomberg Information Service, daily in the financial markets. 

You'll work with real-time data from international markets and respond to breaking news and events. 

In addition, examine the latest research by the leading finance academics and learn how to use powerful analytic tools while taking in guest lectures delivered by industry experts.

Distinguish your expertise by completing a specialisation of your choice. Students need to select one of the following specialisations after their study commencing:

Academic background and requirement

Successful completion of an Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent)

Admission may be granted to applicants without an undergraduate degree but with five or more years of relevant work experience.

Selection criteria

Applicants with an Australian Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or an approved equivalent qualification may be eligible for credit for three foundation subjects in Year.

Applicants without an undergraduate degree but with a demonstrated minimum of at least five years of relevant and cognate business experience may be eligible for credit for the four foundation subjects.

Pathways:

La Trobe University's Postgraduate Enabling Program (PEP) provides a pathway into a range of La Trobe Master's courses for students who may not have the academic and/or English requirements to gain direct entry.

PEP is a La Trobe University program, which La Trobe College Australia will deliver in Melbourne and Sydney. 

This program leads to all Master's courses offered at the Sydney Campus and some Master's courses in Melbourne and Bendigo.
