Language pathway (conditional offer) is available

The Language Education for Academic Purposes (LEAP) with four levels program is for low Intermediate to advanced level English language learners. 

The recommended minimum language level for student success is CLB 4 or an IELTS score of 3.5.

You can complete this 15-month program in four 13-week terms starting in either fall, winter, or spring.


Academic background and requirement

  • English Language Arts 30-1 - minimum grade 60%
  • Mathematics 30-1 or 30-2 or a second language at the 30 level - minimum grade 50%
  • High School Applicant: must present a minimum admission average of 65%, calculated on the five appropriate Grade 12 courses. Must also present the required courses and minimum grades listed above.
  • Mature Applicant: must present the required courses and minimum grades listed above.
  • Post-secondary applicant: must present a minimum admission Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 on the eight most recently completed transferable post-secondary courses (minimum 24 credits) completed by June 30. Must also present the required courses and minimum grades listed above.
