The Department of Computer Science offers programs of study involving interdepartmental, multi-institutional and inter-institutional collaboration that has attracted faculty members and graduate students from all over the world. Students may pursue full-time or part-time graduate study leading towards the MSc and PhD degrees.
The MSc and PhD degrees in Computer Science focus on four main areas of research: artificial intelligence; databases and information retrieval; graphics, image and audio processing; multimedia, and software engineering. The Department of Computer Science maintains several research laboratories: Animation Software Design, Artificial Intelligence, Graphics, Intelligent Database System, Interactive Media, Computational Discovery, Multimedia Gaming, Open Systems, Rough Computing, Rough Music and Audio Digital Interactive , Saskatchewan Research Network Digital Media, Software Engineering, and Web Intelligence.
For fully qualified students, the MSc program provides four options for completing the degree requirements: thesis, project, co-op or course only.

Direct Entry into Advanced English for academic purposes (EAP)
To be eligible to enter Advanced EAP directly, you have to do at least one of the following:
These scores must also be submitted no later than the 100% Refund (minus tuition deposit) deadline. If documents are submitted prior to the start of the semester, there is no requirement to write the in-house placement test.
Test results may not be more than 2 years old at the time of application to the ESL Program if they are to be considered for placement.
Direct Entry into 040 High Intermediate
If you have already taken an Academic IELTS test and achieved a minimum overall academic score of 5.5 (with no band lower than 5.0), you can enter directly into 040 High Intermediate.
