Bachelor of Business at CQUniversity is an innovative course that builds foundation business and management skills and prepares you for the future world of work. 

The course allows you to build your knowledge, skills, and practice in your chosen profession or discipline through authentic learning experiences that develop engaged, globally-aware citizens able to contribute to communities and industry. 

The course is designed for students planning a career in business and management in diverse organisations. 

There are eight compulsory core units and a choice of one of six business discipline majors after your commencing. (Accounting, Banking and Finance, Hospitality Management, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing)

You can choose a second major or two minors from the business discipline, providing you meet the pre-requisite requirements. 

This gives you the unique opportunity to develop a breadth of knowledge to meet and adapt to the changing nature of careers and work. 

In addition, you may be eligible to study a Masters's level minor in a cognate discipline to develop a depth of knowledge that will make you uniquely attractive to employers. 

This course provides the opportunity to develop knowledge in a range of traditional and non-traditional business disciplines and the critical thinking, problem-solving, information literacy, technological, cross-cultural, ethical and innovative abilities sought by employers. 

You will be able to gain work experience while you learn with a mix of industry placements, internships and projects; real-world and authentic learning experiences you'll need to excel in the future world of work.

Academic background and requirement

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • A secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), or
  • An Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) diploma-level qualification, or
  • Bachelor-level qualification study for at least 2 years full-time with a minimum overall GPA of 4.0 completed within Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland, or the United States of America will meet the English proficiency.

 

China:

Gao San (Senior Middle 3): Grade average of 80% or Satisfactory completion of one year of study at a recognised tertiary or higher education institution 

 

India:

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) awarded by CBSE, ISC, West Bengal and Maharashtra boards: Minimum average of 60% in four academic subjects.

Higher Secondary Certificate from all other boards: Minimum average of 65% per cent in four academic subjects

 

Iran:

National High School Diploma Pre-University Year Certificate: Successful completion of High School and Pre-University Year Certificate with a minimum GPA of 13 or above (20 point scale)

Academic Pathway:

START UNI NOW (SUN)

SUN is a CQUniversity initiative that allows you to study CQUniversity units in senior high school. 

SUN allows you to enrol in various CQUniversity units (subjects) online, which you can combine with your regular high school work. 

After completing SUN, you may be eligible to apply for direct entry into an undergraduate degree at CQUniversity (excluding quota-managed courses).

ACADEMIC PREPARATION

CQUniversity offers a series of pre-university courses that provide excellent pathways into undergraduate and postgraduate degrees if you cannot meet the minimum academic or English language proficiency required for direct entry.
