Overview

Bachelor of Engineering Science (Electrical & Electronic Engineering)

The University of Southern Queensland's Bachelor of Engineering Science program allows you to get hands-on with various technologies to prepare you for a broad range of field applications.

Including electrical and electronic equipment, measurement equipment, PLCs, microprocessors, power electronics and rotating machines, controllers and the Internet of Things.

You’ll understand electrical theory, digital and analogue technologies, electrical plants and their control, electronic measurement principles and workshop practices, and engineering project management.

Enabling you to ensure a technological product and its operation are soundly based on theory.

As an electrical engineering technologist, your work will focus on taking responsibility for engineering projects, services and facilities, ensuring sustainable solutions and practices that optimise the delivery and operation of complete systems in electronics, telecommunications, and electricity generation or renewable energy technologies.

Professional Experience:

As part of your Bachelor of Science Degree, you must complete a minimum of 45 days of professional experience.

However, many UniSQ students are already employed in industries relevant to their studies and may be able to write up their work experience to meet this requirement. These experiences provide you with opportunities to put theory into practice.

All students must be able to meet the physical and other professional requirements of practical experience within this program.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience:

Suppose you have previously studied in your home country.

In that case, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses you must study to finish your program.

Pathways:

If you don’t meet the entry requirements, don’t worry; pathway options are available.
