Master of Engineering (Civil and Structural)

Civil and structural engineer, you will continually challenge traditional civil and construction methods with creativity and innovation to help design and manage structures for the modern world. 

Key areas include water resources, roads and traffic, bridges, and marine structures.

This course at CDU builds on your existing engineering background, developing specialist skills in your chosen engineering area. 

The final year of study includes a major research thesis and a system design project.

A feature of the program is 12 weeks of industrial work experience, ensuring that you are familiar with current engineering practices and begin to create your network of engineering contacts for future employment.

Academic background and requirement

Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering Science, Bachelor of Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Technology or:

Equivalent international qualification in civil and structural, electrical and electronics, mechanical engineering or an approved equivalent discipline.

Note: applicants may study only in the stream that matches the engineering area of their undergraduate degree.
