Prepare for a career in this in-demand health field in Canadore College’s leading-edge simulation nursing laboratories. Learn theory and practice in a variety of settings.
The high-fidelity labs are equipped with interactive mannequins that speak and replicate real symptoms, on which students act out common medical emergencies.
The small class and lab sizes allow for individual learner support and more one-on-one time with professors. The training culminates with a seven-week, pre-graduate placement experience working with a registered practical nurse.

For the English as a Second Language program, it requires a minimum IELTS score of 3.0; for entry into English for Academic Purposes, a minimum IELTS score of 4.5 is required.
Both programs run full-time for 8 months. Students beginning in English as a Second Language will then take an additional 8 months full-time of English for Academic Purposes before moving into their program of study.
