The Bachelor of Science Bachelor of Business at UTS is designed to produce graduates who are prepared for scientific practice or business and management in technical, financial, regulatory, environmental, health or biomedical-oriented companies, industries or government departments. 

This highly customisable major combines medical and environmental biotechnology subjects, preparing students to drive innovations in human and planetary health. 

Using their extensive subject choice options, they can build deep expertise in their chosen discipline or a broad knowledge base that spans the breadth of the biotech field. 

As well as getting hands-on with emerging technology, students engage with course content beyond scientific and technical skills development with subjects in bio business and intellectual property commercialisation.

Bridging courses

UTS Science offers bridging courses in Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

Bridging courses help prepare you for university studies and learning in the university environment. 

Subjects taught in bridging courses do not carry any credit towards your degree but will help you prepare for first-year university subjects.

This may include students enrolling in science courses or other areas of study such as engineering, business, nursing, health, architecture, education, and information technology.
