Master of Business Administration

Why MBA? Students enjoy the flexibility of studying on a full- or part-time basis. Students who have completed relevant coursework for academic credit in business, economics and statistics may be exempt from up to ten of the twelve required MBA courses. Students enjoy the flexibility of choice with selecting their eight MBA elective courses. Our MBA students avail of international exchange opportunities by studying in one of 15 countries. Our MBA business case competition teams are among the most competitive and most successful in Canada. Memorial’s on-campus course-based MBA program is focused on providing fundamental business knowledge and leadership skills. Students may focus their studies to meet their own goals and interests through electives, research projects and opportunities to study abroad. Our MBA students enjoy the benefits of small class sizes, one-on-one interaction with instructors and modern learning facilities such as the White Trading Lab, a state-of-the-art management facility equipped with Bloomberg terminals. Students choose our traditional 2-year, 20-course Master of Business Administration (MBA) program for flexible, experiential learning to develop the skills required for careers in business and management.

Academic background and requirement

The equivalent of a four-year Canadian undergraduate degree with a minimum B average, or second class standing, from a recognized university. For universities that use the 4-point grade point average, this is a minimum requirement of 2.75. Applicants with a three-year bachelor degree: Whether your degree would meet the requirement would depend upon the courses you had taken and your level of academic achievement. Your credentials would be formally assessed after you have submitted your application and supporting documents. Work Experience: Two years of full-time work experience, or equivalent, deemed acceptable to the Faculty of Business Administration.
