Memorial’s M.Sc. in management is a two-year, thesis-based program with concentrations in one of four main areas: 1 General Management - a concentration which allows you the flexibility to focus your area of study in areas including, but not limited to, accounting, finance, marketing, social enterprise, and entrepreneurship Students take courses in statistics and research methods that teach them to analyze management issues from a scientific perspective while elective and other graduate level courses offer the opportunity to specialize their studies in a particular area of management. Students must also complete a thesis research project, which sufficiently prepares them to enter a PhD in management program at Memorial or elsewhere. Students choose our research-focused Master of Science in Management (M.Sc.) program to develop rigorous research skills and a versatile skillset that offers a number of options in academia and industry upon graduation. Our M.Sc. program is the only program of its kind in Atlantic Canada. Our small classes allow students to engage in extensive interaction with faculty and peers. Exceptional students wishing to pursue doctoral studies in management can transfer in their second year to our Doctor of Philosophy in Management (PhD) program.
