The Department of Civil Engineering at UNB offers research-based programs of study leading to the degrees of Master of Engineering (MEng).
At least 60 per cent of the approved coursework must be in the area of specialization.
With roots dating back to 1854, UNB’s Civil Engineering department has a long and prestigious history.
The graduate program has helped hundreds of students develop the necessary engineering skills to plan, design and manage the essential infrastructure of modern society.
Applicants are required to select a research area from the list on the Civil Engineering Graduate Studies Website.
Note: You must choose one of the research areas on the Application Form.
MEng program is only available for students interested in the Transportation Engineering area and Structures area.
Prospective students interested in other areas of Civil Engineering at a Master's level are encouraged to consider the MScE program.

All applicants should hold an undergraduate degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.3 (B average or upper second-class standing).
