The International Business major at Manitoba universitystudents to understand globalization from an organizational perspective, formulate strategies to conduct business in a global setting, and manage in organizations that are global or affected by global forces.
The International Business major offers a variety of courses designed to help students understand and manage globalization from a strategic and functional perspective.
Courses are taught by faculty members from diverse geographical backgrounds who have vast experience living overseas and conducting research and business abroad.
In addition to imparting knowledge through relevant coursework, there are several international exchange programs that provide an opportunity for students to develop their skills in a direct manner by living and studying abroad.

The English Language Centre (ELC) at the University of Manitoba (UM) offers the full-time Intensive Academic English Program (IAEP).
If the student does not meet the English Language Proficiency requirement for their program of interest, the student can take advantage of this program to obtain the Academic English language skills needed to complete a degree.
If you have already achieved one of these minimum test scores, you may be eligible to enter Level 5 of the IAEP directly:
An equivalent minimum average of 85% over the following senior level courses, with no less than 70% in each course: • English • Pre-Calculus Mathematics • A third academic course • A fourth academic course
