Religion at Manitoba university is an open and fascinating subject of study introducing students to thousands of years of human history, while providing background on the world today. The religion program is not aligned with any one religion and encourages scholarly diversity.
Students in the program will explore world religions and seek to understand how religions function, how religious discourse evolves, why certain religious perspectives gain prominence and how they are contested.
The Department of Religion offers three and four-year undergraduate degree options in Religion.

The English Language Centre (ELC) at the University of Manitoba (UM) offers the full-time Intensive Academic English Program (IAEP).
If the student does not meet the English Language Proficiency requirement for their program of interest, the student can take advantage of this program to obtain the Academic English language skills needed to complete a degree.
If you have already achieved one of these minimum test scores, you may be eligible to enter Level 5 of the IAEP directly:
An equivalent minimum average of 70% over the following senior level courses, with no less than 60% in each course: • English • Mathematics • A third academic course • A fourth academic course
