Women’s and gender studies at Manitoba university is a dynamic, interdisciplinary program exploring a wide-range of social justice, political and cultural issues.
Students will explore and respond to current and historical debates about women's experiences, gender relations, race and class relations and oppression.
The Faculty of Arts offers three- and four-year programs of study leading to a Bachelor of Arts in Women's and Gender studies.

The English Language Centre (ELC) at the University of Manitoba (UM) offers the full-time Intensive Academic English Program (IAEP).
If the student does not meet the English Language Proficiency requirement for their program of interest, the student can take advantage of this program to obtain the Academic English language skills needed to complete a degree.
If you have already achieved one of these minimum test scores, you may be eligible to enter Level 5 of the IAEP directly:
An equivalent minimum average of 70% over the following senior level courses, with no less than 60% in each course: • English • Mathematics • A third academic course • A fourth academic course
