The University of Manitoba's Civil Engineering program is the oldest engineering program in Western Canada.
The undergraduate program is fully accredited - all graduates are eligible to become professional engineers in Canada.
A co-operative education option allows students to include practical work experience in their education before graduating.
Graduates of the civil engineering program are academically qualified to register as Engineers-in-Training in engineering licensing bodies in Canada. The civil engineering program is designed to give students a broad knowledge of engineering principles and professional practice.

The English Language Centre (ELC) at the University of Manitoba (UM) offers the full-time Intensive Academic English Program (IAEP).
If the student does not meet the English Language Proficiency requirement for their program of interest, the student can take advantage of this program to obtain the Academic English language skills needed to complete a degree.
