Overview

Bachelor of Science in Engineering - Civil Engineering

Engineering uses the principles of math and science to find practical solutions to the everyday problems and needs of society.

The University of Manitoba's Civil Engineering program is the oldest engineering program in Western Canada.

The undergraduate program is fully accredited - all graduates are eligible to become professional engineers in Canada.

A cooperative education option allows students to include practical work experience in their education before graduating.

Many undergraduate courses in civil engineering have laboratory components.

These labs provide hands-on experience for students and take place in specialized laboratories, including:

  • engineering mechanics laboratory,
  • structural and materials testing laboratories,
  • hydraulics laboratory,
  • geotechnical laboratory,
  • environmental engineering laboratory,
  • computer laboratories.

Program options

• Co-op/Industrial Internship Program

In that case, you can choose an “undeclared” major in the application portal at your study commencing.
