Bachelor of Property Economics

Throughout this course, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the property industry, covering key topics such as investment, asset management, development, valuation, and research, emphasising finance and the commercial property market sector.

You will also learn about sustainable development and environmental and energy efficiency in all forms of property. 

Throughout your studies, you will be exposed to various concepts essential to determining, developing, and managing the built environment. 

By delving into building, construction management, planning, business, and property economics disciplines, you will understand how these areas work together to achieve a balanced, cost-effective, and sustainable built environment.

Finally, as an added perk to this course, you'll also have the opportunity to visit commercial and retail properties and some of Brisbane's most prominent buildings. 

Engaging in exclusive tours and interacting with on-site property managers will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of property management and the day-to-day operations of these properties.

Work integrated learning

Academic background and requirement

Assumed knowledge: 

A pass in Australian Year 12 or equivalent

  • General Mathematics, or Mathematical Methods, or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C)

 

India:

  • Senior/Higher Secondary School Certificate/Pre-University certificate from QUT-recognised state education boards with an overall average of 75% in the best five academic subjects.
  • Indian School Certificate academic stream awarded by CISCE with an overall average of 60% in the best five academic subjects.
  • All India Senior School Certificate academic stream awarded by CBSE with an overall average of 60% in the best five academic subjects.

China: 

  • GAOKAO 60% in best 4 academic subjects.
     

Iran:

  • Before 2020: Pre-University Certificate with a grade average of 15 on a 20-point scale.
  • From 2020: National High School Diploma/Secondary School Leaving Certificate with a grade average of 15 on a 20-point scale in the final year (Grade 12).
