Overview

Bachelor of Business (Economics)

Economics is a unique way of thinking and analysing how the world works.

Economics provides insights into national and global economy and offers ways to tackle the real-world challenges shaping our society.

In this course at QUT, you will understand economics comprehensively, covering both microeconomics and macroeconomics applied to contemporary issues.

You will learn about the interplay between the decisions and actions of consumers, firms and governments, economic growth, business cycles, unemployment, inflation, and international trade.

You will build skills in data and statistics to support your economic analysis.

Real-world learning is embedded in this course, and throughout your degree, you'll have the chance to engage in practical learning opportunities that allow you to apply the theories you've learned in class to real-world situations.

These opportunities include working as consultants with leading industry organisations, gaining professional work experience through a work-integrated learning unit, and participating in immersive, international field projects.
