This program at the University of Adelaide embraces electrical and electronic engineering and provides graduates with a wide range of fundamental scientific knowledge relevant to electrical and electronic engineering.
An emphasis is placed on underlying principles and techniques so that graduates can learn and apply new technologies as they emerge.
The first two years of this degree provide a solid foundation in electronics, physics, mathematics and computer programming.
Students can choose a major in Communication Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Defence Systems, Medical Technologies, Smart Technologies and Renewable Energy, as well as a choice of minors in Humanitarian and Entrepreneurship.
In the program's final year, students can specialise in a particular area by studying advanced courses and completing a capstone project that further develops research, technical and professional skills.
Students are required to complete eight weeks of approved practical experience.

The Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) is a direct entry pathway into further studies at the University of Adelaide for students that have not met the minimum English language entry requirements of their award program.
The PEP is offered in 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 weeks.
