This program at the University of Adelaide offers a broad range of animal science courses that cover wildlife, livestock, and companion and laboratory animal species.
The program has a strong emphasis on the practical skills utilised in the area of animal science.
In the first year, students undertake foundation science courses which form the background for later studies in areas such as animal physiology, nutrition, breeding and management.
This program will require at least 200 hours of professional work experience to be completed by the mid-semester break of Semester 2 of the program's third year.
Throughout your degree, you’ll undertake professional work experience placements at locations such as animal production facilities, farms, livestock consulting businesses, laboratory animal facilities, wildlife organisations, nutrition companies, research facilities, and companion animal care facilities.

The Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) is a direct entry pathway into further studies at the University of Adelaide for students that have not met the minimum English language entry requirements of their award program.
The PEP is offered in 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 weeks.
