This program at the University of Adelaide integrates and extends courses in geology & geophysics, mining engineering, geography & environmental studies, chemistry, mathematics and physics.
This program has extensive fieldwork and is specifically designed to meet the industry demand for high-calibre graduates in the mineral resources sector.
The first year of this program provides a foundation in sciences such as geology and maths or statistics, with additional courses in chemistry, physics and science electives.
The second year develops this foundation by providing more in-depth study in geology.
In the third year, students will focus on advanced topics, including mineral exploration, tectonics and geophysics.
Students will benefit from direct exposure to professionals in the mineral geoscience industry that will enable them to form mentoring relationships.
Practical Experience
Students may choose to undertake international study opportunities, including travelling with a tour guide to remote areas and exploring the world's best-preserved piece of intact oceanic crust.

The Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) is a direct entry pathway into further studies at the University of Adelaide for students that have not met the minimum English language entry requirements of their award program.
