Academic background and requirement

Subject prerequisites:

  • Biology (Units 3 & 4, C) or Chemistry (Units 3 & 4, C)
  • Mathematical Methods, or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C)

You must have achieved this study at a level comparable to Australian Year 12 or recognised post-secondary studies.

India:

  • Senior/Higher Secondary School Certificate/Pre-University certificate from QUT recognised state education boards with an overall average of 75% in the best five academic subjects.
  • Indian School Certificate academic stream awarded by CISCE with an overall average of 60% in the best five academic subjects.
  • All India Senior School Certificate academic stream awarded by CBSE with an overall average of 60% in the best five academic subjects.

China: 

  • GAOKAO 60% in best 4 academic subjects.
     

Iran:

  • Before 2020: Pre-University Certificate with a grade average of 15 on a 20-point scale.
  • From 2020: National High School Diploma/Secondary School Leaving Certificate with a grade average of 15 on a 20-point scale in the final year (Grade 12).

Intensive Program:

When you have completed this course and met the faculty progression requirements, you will be guaranteed a place in the first year of your chosen Bachelor's degree.

There are four foundation streams to choose from, each with 4 units.

You will be allocated to the streams based on your selected Bachelor's degree course and progression requirements (i.e. degree course pre-requisites).
