Overview

Bachelor of Business (Advertising) / Bachelor of Communication (Digital Media)

Bachelor of Business (Advertising)

Advertising plays an influential role in the growth of a business.

If you’re looking for a rewarding career that’s results-driven and holds no creative boundaries, then consider a degree in advertising.

The way QUT consumes media and information is continuously evolving, and so is its course.

Taught by leading industry professionals, QUT's teaching staff work alongside industry partners to ensure its content is current and up to industry standard.

In this course, you will work on real-world projects, engage with industry professionals from day one and be academically eligible for professional recognition upon graduation.

Graduates who complete the advertising major will meet the entry requirements for membership at the Media Federation of Australia and Advertising Council Australia.

Bachelor of Communication (Digital Media)

Digital media is rapidly changing technology, business, and legal landscapes.

The Digital Media major will help you stay ahead in this dynamic environment, whether your goal is to be a digital disruptor/entrepreneur, digital content creator, or leading edge analyst in the world of big data.

This course lets you combine communication studies with an emphasis on digital innovation, practical skills, and industry placements and connections.

Gain industry experience through internships and work placements in government departments, agencies, media, advertising and public relations organizations.

The students have completed placements with Network Ten, Brisbane Festival, Hyperplex Cinemas and BBS Communications Group.

In your third year, you will investigate and engage with the local media sector, contributing to the latest media platforms and building your professional networks.
