Overview

Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Justice

This course at QUT allows you to combine your justice and business interests, providing you with broad commercial knowledge and skills.

You will graduate job-ready by exploring the most recent theory and practice of social justice and building problem-solving, analytical and applied computer skills relevant to the workplace.

In the business component of the course, you can choose a major in accounting, advertising, economics, behavioural economics, finance, financial planning, human resource management, international business, management, entrepreneurship and innovation, marketing, or public relations.

For your justice studies, you can choose between majors in policy and politics or criminology and policing, giving a broad range of specialty areas to focus your career on.

You can submit your application without choosing a major by selecting the “Nominate at start of studies” option.

Bachelor of Business

Bachelor of Business combines key business research and contemporary business best practices and sets demanding standards to create your future career options.

You will acquire the specialist skills and knowledge in your choice of business major.

Bachelor of Justice

The policy and politics major offers you the opportunity to learn policy analysis and the intricacies of how government officers research, analyse, recommend and develop policies in the justice sphere.

It explains how policy is implemented, critiqued, and evolves through the government and its departments.

The criminology and policing major details punishment and penal policy, crime research methods, and your choice of units in eco crime, sex crime, death investigation, crime in pop culture, drugs and intelligence, among others.

You can also form industry links in a professional placement unit, undertaking a project at an external organisation.
