It is a joint program between Carleton University and Algonquin College, which provides a multidisciplinary education and practical experience in subjects such as, laser physics, optical system design, bio photonics, fiber optic telecommunication, laser machining and holography This program is an effective blend of laser, optic and photonic technology courses with courses in physics, mathematics, communications, and social sciences Students will be receiving the following accreditation: Bachelor of Information Technology Degree (from Carleton University), and Ontario College Advanced Diploma (from Algonquin College)

1)Completed one year of recognized, full-time post-secondary education (not language training) in English in an English speaking country.
2)Completed secondary education in English in a country other than Canada where English is the principal language.
3)Completed an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or Canadian provincial equivalent) and English credit (Grade 12 U, M or C) issued by a Canadian school board.
4)Successful completed the Advanced Placement (AP) English Language & Composition or AP Literature & Composition; or completed the International Baccalaureate English A (higher-level or standard-level).
5)Completed a diploma from an international secondary school that uses English as the language of instruction but operates in a country where the primary language is not English.
6)Graduation from an authorized Algonquin College ESL pathway program.
7)Successful completion of the Algonquin College EAP program.
